Year 4 Visit Astley Hall – 13th November 2017

Year four went to Astley hall because they had the topic of the plague for the first term.

The first thing was go to the big hall where we met Miss Alice who was the maid/servant of Lady Charnock. She was rich because she was the wife of the MP Lord Charnock.

The next thing we did was go up to Lord Charnock`s bedroom where we discussed the humours and doctrine of signatures.

Then we collected herbs and spices and put them in baskets ready to make plague bags.

After that we went to the still room and made very successful plague bags. Then it was time to go. That is what year four did. THE END!
